  • There already exist lots of joint seminars between the two mathematical research units (in number theory, group theory, PDEs, probability theory etc).
     
  • There already exist joint projects between computer theoretists and mathematicians, e.g. the European project in logic ITN MALOA
     
  • Concrete cooperations have already existed between various themes, for instance around questions of complexity (involving logic and computer science)
     
  • There already exist joint institutions, like GDR « Calcul » et GDR « Informatique mathématique » involving researchers of the various teams of the project MILYON
     
  • The IXXI (Institut des Systèmes Complexes, in Lyon) will also be a meeting ground for the project
     
  • The master 2 in advanced mathematics is already common for mathematics from ENS and UCB Lyon 1.
