Data intelligence team of the Laboratoire Hubert Curien (LabHC) - CNRS UMR 5516

The Data Intelligence team is one of the 6 teams of the Hubert-Curien Lab.

Data intelligence is about interacting with data in rich, semantically meaningful ways, going beyond search to create the path from data to knowledge

The Data Intelligence team explores three main aspects of Data Intelligence: Machine Learning (from a statistical theory point of view), Data Mining and Information Retrieval.

Research areas

In machine learning:
  • Metric Learning
  • Transfer Learning and Domain Adaptation
  • Machine Learning for Fraud and Anomaly Detection
  • Machine Learning for Computer Vision Applications
  • Machine Learning for Natural Language Processing
In data mining and information retrieval:
  • Developing methods to efficiently mine structured data: documents, graphs, social networks, etc.
  • Modeling heterogeneous structured documents for information retrieval
  • Data Mining for Image and Video Analysis
